We both agree that the international community's top priority is to protect civilians and stop the violence; this is in the best interests of both CAR and the region as a whole including Cameroon. We therefore welcome the continued efforts of African Union and French forces in CAR, and welcome the imminent deployment of European troops to provide further assistance.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>Yes, the strict tests on flood risk set out in national planning policy apply to rural and urban areas. These tests include ensuring new development does not increase flood risk elsewhere. In the new planning guidance we launched on 6 March we have made it crystal clear that councils need to consider these tests and where they are not met new development should not be allowed.</p><p> </p> more like this

star this property answer text <p> </p><p>In 2014/15 we plan to commence the revised powers under the Clean Neighbourhoods and Environment Act 2005in respect of the stop, search and seizure of vehicles. Local authorities and the Environment Agency have similar powers under the Control of Pollution (Amendment) Act 1989.
