Under the Animal Welfare Act 2006, it is a criminal offence to cause unnecessary suffering to an animal, and to administer an injurious or poisonous drug to an animal. We have committed significant funding for agri-tech innovation, including research and development to move us towards net zero farming systems. We will offer financial assistance to enable farmers, foresters, and growers to invest in the equipment, technology, and infrastructure that they need, to improve their productivity, manage the environment sustainably, and deliver other public goods.</p><p> </p><p>In addition, The Renewable Transport Fuel Obligation (RTFO) supports the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions from fuel supplied for use in transport. The RTFO is a certificate trading scheme which rewards those supplying low carbon fuels in the UK for use in road vehicles and some other forms of transport, including tractors.</p><p> </p><p>Low carbon fuels supplied under the RTFO saved 2.88 million tonnes of CO<sub>2</sub> emissions in just the last three quarters of 2018. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 10/02/2020 answer text <p>A ‘buffer zone’ currently operates around the minimum infected area in Area 32-Cumbria; this is referred to as the outer cull area (OCA). Both the minimum infected area and the outer cull area together make up the intervention area.</p><p> </p><p>The OCA is based on estimated average badger social group territory size surrounding the minimum infected area, to take into account the possibility that infection may have already spread in the badger population. The boundary was adjusted to adhere to natural barriers to badger movement as far as practical to minimise the risk of possible perturbation effects.</p><p> </p><p>The results of testing of badgers from the 2019 cull are still being analysed. As the system enters full usage and fishers get used to the system, the data gathered from it will be used to cross check data from sales notes. For at least the current quota management year catch records will be used to supplement but not replace sales note data in tracking uptake and setting limits.</p><p> </p><p>As the catch records capture a complete record of landings, any species or landing undeclared on a sales note will be taken from the catch record.
