	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 21/05/2019 answer text <p>London bus services are the responsibility of Transport for London and the London Mayor who is responsible for all aspects of services including bus safety.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>Bus services outside London are deregulated and provided on a commercial basis by private operators. It is for individual local transport authorities in those areas to determine what powers in the Bus Services Act 2017 are used to address bus safety issues. HS2 Ltd are engaging with local residents on issues around construction and will continue to do so.</p><p> </p><p>Safeguards for residents were set out as part of the Parliamentary process for the High Speed Rail (London to West Midlands) Act 2017. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 21/12/2018 answer text <p>Yes. HS2 Ltd has identified that part of the Alexandra and Ainsworth Estate is built on piled foundations. As the planned tunnel is approximately 40m deep at this location, there is no risk of the piles intersecting the tunnel. The significant depth also means the ground movement and differential settlement at the surface is likely to be small. A Phase 1 green field ground movement assessment and a Phase 2 ground movement has been undertaken along the route.
