	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 25/02/2015 answer text <p /> <p>Whilst parents can only receive support from either Universal Credit or Tax-Free Childcare at any time, where families are eligible for both they will have the freedom to choose the scheme which best meets their needs, and will be able to move freely between schemes when they experience a relevant change in circumstances.</p><p> </p><p>Draft guidance for parents on Tax-Free Childcare has already been published online for consultation by HMRC. There will also be an easy-to-use online calculator for parents choosing between Universal Credit and Tax-Free Childcare. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 09/03/2015 answer text <p /> <p>The state pension reforms under the Pensions Act 2007, affecting those reaching state pension age from 6 April 2010, included the introduction of a single contribution condition of 30 qualifying years of National Insurance contributions or credits for a full basic state pension and the replacement of the Home Responsibilities Protection scheme with a new system of National Insurance credits for parents and carers and earlier years of Home Responsibilities Protection were converted into qualifying years.</p><p> </p><p>These measures were primarily designed to improve the basic pension entitlements of women. The effects of the relaxation of the contribution conditions and the changes to Home Responsibilities Protection are complex. The parent with care can speak to the CSA if they want to discuss how the figure has been arrived at in further detail. We cannot advise parents of the exact length or detail of the validation process, as it will depend on the circumstances of individual cases.</p><p> </p><p>Both parties are advised to contact Child Maintenance Options for further information about the collection of their arrears. The approach was set out in both “Preparing for the future, tackling the past: Child Maintenance – Arrears and Compliance Strategy 2012-2017 and Command Paper Cm8399 “Supporting separated families; securing children’s futures”.
