star this property answer text <p>The Welsh economy is facing both challenges and opportunities following Brexit.</p><p>I have regular meetings with the Secretary of State for the Department for Exiting the European Union and he and I both recently met Welsh industry leaders to discuss these issues.</p><p>My Department is committed to working closely with both the Welsh Government and the Department for Exiting the European Union to ensure we get the best possible deal for Wales. To summarise what my hon Friend the Parliamentary under Secretary of State for Wales said in the Westminster Hall Debate on 14 December, the Welsh economy is in a strong position to make the most of the opportunities that exiting the EU presents.</p><p> </p> more like this

Since 2010 Wales has been the fastest growing UK region outside London and exports to countries outside the EU have increased by 5.5% in the last year alone. The strength of Wales is demonstrated in its ability to attract globally recognised brands like Aston Martin and Qatar Airways.</p><p> </p><p>As we negotiate our exit from the EU, the Prime Minister has made clear that we will work to secure a deal that benefits all parts of the UK.
