	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 22/10/2018 answer text <p>The Government’s National Shipbuilding Strategy was clear that for reasons of national security warships must be built in the UK.</p><p>Fleet solid support ships do not fall under the National Shipbuilding Strategy definition of a warship. The report concluded that the Commission needed to take action to start infringement procedures where serious breaches of European Union law are identified. Consequently, the Commission sent infringement notices to a number of Member States in 2018 for not correctly applying the Directive.
