The variation in the hours received results from legitimate absences, such as attending court, attending appointments and illness, and occasional provider cancellations (which we reconcile against for funding). Figures cover all primary, secondary and special local authority maintained schools that were open but exclude academies. 2013 figures will be available in late July 2014.
