<p>The government carefully considers the impact of its decisions on those sharing protected characteristics - including gender - in line with both its legal obligations and with its strong commitment to promoting fairness.</p><p>However, analysis of the impact of tax and spending decisions by gendered household type will present a partial picture of the impact of policy decisions on different genders as most people live in households with other people.</p>
