star this property answer text
Everyone in Britain has the right to feel safe and at ease in the place where they live. There is no place for hatred against people because of their race, gender, ethnic origin, faith, sexual orientation, age or disability.

Anti-Muslim attacks rose 30-40% in the first two weeks after the Paris attacks. These attacks are unacceptable in Britain. The Government funds Tell MAMA (Measuring Anti-Muslim Attacks) to encourage reporting of these crimes and to support victims. We have also set up the first cross Government Anti-Muslim Hatred Working Group to raise awareness of Islamaphobic attacks. In addition, the Prime Minister announced that the police will disaggregate hate crime by religion beginning in April 2016. This will help the police to build community trust, target their resources and enable the public to hold them to account.

more like this

star this property answer text
No such assessment has been made by the Department. Low traffic neighbourhood schemes may be implemented using standard traffic restrictions, which require a Traffic Regulation Order made following the Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996. These already include a requirement for ongoing consultation and evaluation for 6-months following the making of an experimental TRO. For permanent TROs, the regulations require consultation on proposed orders, including with a range of statutory consultees.

The Department recommends as good practice that authorities carry out post implementation reviews for all permanent traffic orders.
more like this

star this property answer text
This investment is designed to benefit a range of cancer pathways. To date, over £100 million has been allocated to replace outdated magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) machines, of which almost £90 million included hardware able to perform multi-parametric resonance imaging and support the diagnosis of prostate cancer. Replacing aged MRI assets supports the prostate cancer pathway through higher quality imaging, increased availability of MRI and reduced duplication of imaging for patients. This investment is in addition to the routine replacement of MRI machines, which NHS Providers is funding through its annual operational capital allocation.
more like this
