Any business that has questions about trading with Ukraine or Russia, can visit <a href="https://www.gov.uk/ask-export-support-team" target="_blank">https://www.gov.uk/ask-export-support-team</a>, or call our helpline using the number <strong>0300 303 8955</strong>.</p><p> </p><p>DIT continues to support business and traders financially. The UK Export Finance programmes aim to ensure no viable export fails due to lack of finance. Exporters can also apply for the Internationalisation Fund, with 70% allocated outside of London.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The Department for International Trade’s Export Support Service provide specialist overseas support to small-and-medium-sized UK enterprises looking to export and grow in African markets, including Somaliland. The free support service, which is offered to high export potential businesses, entails tailored consultations with in-market specialists and off-the-shelf market intelligence on specific sectors and country markets. Since launching the service in Africa in August 2021, the team have serviced three enquiries from UK businesses needing support in exporting into Somaliland.</p><p> </p><p>In addition, through British International Investment, the UK has made a significant investment in the development of Berbera Port.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>Bitumen is in the trade sanctions for Russia (under oil products). It is a by-product of oil refining and is a product that has been supplied to the UK from a number of countries. The Government regularly engages with firms in the construction sector about the supply of products, and the supply of bitumen from non-Russian sources has not been raised as a concern. In particular, National Highways has been working with its supply chain to confirm compliance with sanctions and to ensure ongoing certainty of supply.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The Priority School Building Programme 1 (PSBP1) is a centrally managed programme set up to address the needs of the schools most in need of urgent repair. Through the programme, 260 schools will be rebuilt or have their condition needs met by the Education Funding Agency.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>Under the PSBP1 the Department for Education has now signed construction contracts for 102 schools: construction work has started at 100 schools; and construction work will start imminently at the other 2 schools.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>20 schools have now opened in new buildings: at 3 of these schools construction work is complete and at the other 17 schools construction work is continuing to demolish the old dilapidated buildings.</p><p> </p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The original budget for the Property Data Survey Programme was £13 million, which was increased to £20 million following the extension of the programme to include 8,000 further surveys.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>It had always been the intention to complete school surveys, over time, on the new consistent basis established by the Property Data Survey Programme; this simply brought forward the expenditure from future years’ spend. As a result we have benefited from a consistent database that has been used to allocate maintenance funding to get the best return from the government's investment in the school estate.</p><p> </p> more like this
