star this property answer text <p>All providers of National Health Service-funded healthcare services are expected to meet a range of national standards, other operational standards and quality requirements. These are set out in the NHS Standard Contract along with the consequences of breaches of these. In many cases, the consequence would be a financial sanction.</p><p> </p><p>Since April 2016, most NHS providers agreeing to meet financial control targets as part of the sustainability funding programme are exempt from such sanctions. However, any revenue withheld is reinvested in the local healthcare system.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>It is the responsibility of the General Medical Council and the Nursing and Midwifery Council, in setting the outcomes that medical and nursing students need to achieve through their training, to ensure it is reflective of the knowledge and experience needed to support and advise the patients they see.</p><p> </p><p>Health Education England (HEE) has responsibility for ensuring the NHS in England has the workforce it requires in the right numbers, in the right place and with the right skills. HEE, together with regulators and Royal Colleges, ensures undergraduate and post graduate curriculum meets the needs of all patients.</p><p> </p><p>HEE are also working with stakeholders to support the awareness raising of the mental health needs of the LGBT community. HEE’s competency frameworks, published on 10 October, on suicide recognised that the LGBT community are a high-risk group and there is need for specific suicide prevention interventions to be targeted at this group of people.</p><p> </p>

star this property answer text <p>The NHS Learning Support Fund was developed in recognition of the compulsory clinical placement hours that student nurses, midwives and allied health professions within the scope of the reforms implemented in August 2017 need to complete in order to graduate from their courses.</p><p> </p><p>The route into paramedicine currently has various education and funding models. Therefore, paramedic training was not included in the scope of the reforms implemented in 2017. Financial support arrangements will be considered as paramedicine becomes an all degree subject, as agreed by the Health and Care Professions Council on 21 March 2018.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>As previously advised, all available evidence suggests that there has been no significant impact on the National Health Service of the IR35 changes. Recent HM Revenue and Custom research indicates that 58% of central public bodies have not had problems filling vacancies since the changes and 63% have not seen an increase in rates as a result.</p><p> </p><p>NHS Improvement has confirmed that there has been no significant impact on the NHS of these changes and as such, we have not made a formal assessment of the effect of these changes on the NHS.</p><p> </p><p>It should also be re-iterated that NHS Improvement continuously monitors the levels of staffing in NHS trusts to ensure they are able to prioritise patient care.</p> more like this
