The Treaty provides for joint cooperation to improve security infrastructure at the shared border in northern France, to reduce illegal migration flows and to provide support to the most vulnerable. This includes a programme of work to support access into asylum accommodation in France and a Dublin Regulation Development Fund. The UK has committed a package of €50 million to implement this work, which is overseen by the official UK-France Migration Committee. Our two countries continue to undertake regular and routine ministerial and senior official discussions regarding migration across our shared border and our cooperation under the Sandhurst Treaty. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 28/03/2019 answer text <p>There is a range of support available to those who require assistance ap-plying to the Scheme.</p><p><br>Generally, children under 21 applying as the dependent of their parent or guardian only need to provide evidence of their relationship to the parent or guardian to be granted the same status.</p><p>There is no need for them to prove their own UK residence.</p><p><br>The Home Office is willing to accept a broad range of evidence of applicant’s residency in the UK. Applicants will need to provide one document only dated in the last six months to be granted pre-settled status.</p><p>Guidance on the evidence EU citizens can submit is available on gov.uk (<a href="http://www.gov.uk/guidance/eu-settlement-scheme-evidence-of-uk-residence" target="_blank">www.gov.uk/guidance/eu-settlement-scheme-evidence-of-uk-residence</a>).</p><p>If applicants do not have enough evidence, the Home Office’s EU Settlement Scheme Resolution Centre will work with them to confirm when they have been resident in the UK based on all the evidence available.</p><p>For vulnerable applicants, caseworkers will be able to exercise discretion on compassionate grounds, based on the range of evidence available. Almost all asylum claims are processed in the community. The UK has committed various funding packages to uphold these standards and support France in responding to the migration crisis. In 2015, both countries signed a Joint Declaration which committed £10 million towards security reviews of the juxtaposed controls and to moving migrants into reception centres across France. This was followed by payments in 2016 (£17 million) and 2017 (£36 million) to further strengthen the border and maintain the operation of the juxtaposed controls.</p><p>Most recently, in January 2018 both countries signed the Sandhurst Treaty, which demonstrates our ongoing commitment to prevent irregular migration and to the continued operation of the juxtaposed controls. In January 2018 both countries signed the Sandhurst Treaty, which included a funding package of £45.5 million to fund joint co-operation on all elements of tackling the impact of illegal migration in northern France.
