star this property answer text
As a result of the UK Government’s decisions at the Autumn Budget, the Scottish Government’s budgets will increase by £2 billion, providing it with the opportunity to allocate additional funding to public services and growth in Scotland. This builds on the £350 million increase to the Scottish Government’s budget at Spring Budget 2017. Overall, the Scottish Government’s block grant (before adjustment for tax devolution) will have grown to over £31.1 billion by 2020, a real terms increase over the current Spending Review period.

In addition, the Scottish Government has now substantial tax-raising powers to vary the levels of tax and spending in Scotland. Once the Scotland Act 2016 is fully implemented, more than 50% of the Scottish Government’s funding will come from revenues raised in Scotland, making the Scottish Government more accountable to the people it serves.
more like this
