We are committed to supporting coastal communities to unlock barriers to their development and growth, and to strengthen their appeal as places to live, work and visit.</p><p>Parking is the responsibility of local authorities and it is for them to determine what is appropriate in their own area. Central government has no remit to intervene in local authorities’ day to day affairs. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 04/09/2019 answer text <p>The £3.37 million MHCLG Community Fund programme has supported 54 local authorities and community group partnerships to shape and deliver improved services. Six grants are linked to social prescribing, of which three directly target vulnerable children and young people. For example, the ‘Community Connectors’ project in South Norfolk was awarded £70,000 to deliver social prescribing from all GP surgeries across South Norfolk providing a non-medical solution to social, emotional and practical issues that may be causing health problems for people of all ages.</p><p>The Department has also contributed towards the £3.5 million jointly invested by the Government and the Co-op Foundation in projects tackling youth loneliness through the Youth Strand of the Building Connections Fund in 2018-19 and 2019-20.</p><p>My Department will continue to work with other government departments to deliver the commitments in 'A Connected Society: A Strategy for Tackling Loneliness’ and to build the infrastructure for social prescribing.</p> answering member constituency Rossendale and Darwen answering member printed Jake Berry question first answered 04/09/2019 14:31:44 answering member 4060 label Biography information for Sir Jake Berry

An Order devolving adult education functions to the North of Tyne Combined Authority is already before Parliament. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 22/07/2019 answer text <p>The Chancellor announced in August and October 2016 that the Government will guarantee EU projects agreed before we leave the EU, to provide more certainty for UK organisations over the course of EU Exit. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 15/07/2019 answer text <p>The UK Shared Prosperity Fund is the Government’s manifesto commitment to reduce inequalities between communities across our four nations by raising productivity, once we have left the EU.</p><p>The Government recognises the importance of reassuring local areas on the future of local growth funding once we have left the EU and providing clarity on the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.</p><p>The Government has over the past year, held 25 stakeholder engagement events across the UK with representatives from a breadth of sectors, in order to aid policy development. The consultation will build upon these conversations.</p><p>The Government has now reached agreement with the EU on an extension until 31 October at the latest, with the option to leave earlier as soon as a deal has been ratified. We believe that leaving with a deal is the best outcome and remain focused on ensuring our smooth and orderly withdrawal from the EU. It is right, however, that we also continue to prepare for all scenarios. The Government’s 25 year environment strategy 'A Green Future: Our 25 Year Plan to Improve the Environment' has committed to supporting water companies, high street retailers, coffee shops and transport hubs to offer new refill points for people to top-up water bottles for free in every major city and town in England.</p><p>The water industry is a key partner in delivering our commitment to create a nationwide network of refill points. Through the Refill campaign a free app is now available to the public which signposts to over 20,000 free refill points and is estimated to save over 100 million single use bottles from entering our waste stream by the end of 2019.
