answer text <p>Her Majesty's Government will continue to exceed the NATO target of spending 2% of GDP on defence and increase the budget by at least 0.5 above inflation every year. The UK is one of only a handful of nations that meets the 2% target, and we remain the largest European Defence spender in NATO. The Integrated Review will consider all aspects of international policy from defence to diplomacy and development. It is too early to discuss specifics, but I can assure you that this country will maintain the strength of our world class Armed Forces.</p> more like this

answer text <p>We recognise cyber as a domain of military operations alongside air, land, sea and space.</p><p> </p><p>Offensive cyber is now a critical part of our arsenal. Defence has integrated this into our military planning alongside the full range of military effects. We will continue to develop and exploit Offensive Cyber’s potential to complement and enhance our conventional military capabilities and assets.</p><p> </p><p>Offensive Cyber has already demonstrated its utility, against Daesh, where the UK suppressed Daesh propaganda, hindered their ability to coordinate attacks, and protected coalition forces on the battlefield.</p><p> </p><p>For reasons of safeguarding national security, I cannot discuss our cyber capability in greater detail or be specific on how it is employed.</p> more like this
