The 2018 pay award to MOD physiotherapists, as with all other Agenda for Change grades, is aligned with the pay agreement implemented in the NHS. unstar this property answer text <p>The Ministry of Defence has not made any assessment of the effect of burn pits used by the US to dispose of military waste on the health of members of the UK Armed Forces who served in Iraq and Afghanistan. Where burn pits are used on military operations the UK regularly monitors air quality levels.</p><p>If Serving personnel consider that their health has been affected they should seek medical advice from Joint Medical Group, previously Defence Medical Services. For veterans, their healthcare is provided by the National Health Service in England and the Devolved Administrations. Individuals who believe that they are ill as a result of their service are able to claim compensation through the War Pensions Scheme for the period up to 6 April 2005 and Armed Forces Compensation Scheme for illnesses and injuries on or after 6 April 2005</p> more like this

unstar this property answer text <p>Any Armed Forces veteran who believes they have suffered ill health due to their Service is eligible to claim compensation under the War Pensions Scheme (WPS) or the Armed Forces Compensation Scheme (AFCS). The WPS covers illness or injury due to Service before 6 April 2005 and the AFCS covers illnesses and injuries on or after 6 April 2005. Both schemes carry full rights of appeal to an independent tribunal.</p><p> </p> more like this

unstar this property answer text <p>As Minister with responsibility for Cadets, I commend the good work Cadet forces do in Northern Ireland and welcome invitations to visit its Cadet establishments. I met with Cadets in East Londonderry on 23 June 2018. I also met Cadets in Belfast on 11 November 2018. The Secretary of State for Defence has not visited Cadets in north west Northern Ireland, although he did meet with Cadets on 8 September 2018 in Enniskillen.</p> more like this
