	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 18/09/2014 answer text <p>Treasury Ministers maintain regular contact with Northern Ireland Executive Ministers on a range of matters of mutual interest.</p><p> </p><p>The Government’s position is that Northern Ireland is funded fairly and that the Executive have sufficient resources to support public services to at least the levels in place across the rest of the United Kingdom.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>Indeed, the most recently published statistics demonstrate again that identifiable spending on public services in Northern Ireland remains over £2000 per head higher than the UK average. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 16/06/2014 answer text <p>This Government recognises the importance of transport infrastructure to support the economy and, as set out in the National Infrastructure Plan 2013, has already announced over £28 billion of funding for enhancements and maintenance of national and local roads</p><p> </p><p>The specific schemes identified in the National Infrastructure Plan 2013 have the ability to complete or begin their construction in the next Parliament. Proposals for improvements to the A120 between Braintree and Marks Tey are not yet sufficiently developed to be included in the Highways Agency pipeline of future projects, and are therefore not currently included in the National Infrastructure Plan.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>However, the A120 is being looked at by the Highways Agency as part of its work on the East of England Route Strategy, which will look to determine the nature, need and timing of future investment that might be required. Agreement was reached at the meeting regarding the framework under which the devolved administrations could carry forward Financial Transactions capital into future years.</p><p> </p><p>The Chief Secretary to the Treasury and Finance Ministers from the devolved administrations aim to meet regularly in Quadrilateral format, complimenting bi-lateral meetings and conversations throughout the year. It is anticipated the next Quadrilateral will take place over the coming months. Following its introduction in 2012, Drax Power, the Northern Line Extension and Mersey Gateway Bridge are the projects in the National Infrastructure Plan that have benefited from the scheme. The total value of those three guarantees is £1,082,000,000</p><p> </p><p>The infrastructure pipeline published alongside the National Infrastructure Plan 2013 provides a forward looking, bottom-up assessment of overall planned and potential infrastructure investment in the UK to 2020 and beyond, and includes details of the projected value of individual investments. The Government has never been responsible for ‘the full burden’ of the project referred to in the question. Until 5 June, Thames Water Utilities Ltd had full responsibility for the project.</p><p> </p><p>On 5 June, the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs tabled a Written Ministerial Statement informing the House that the Government had Specified the Thames Tideway Tunnel project, in accordance with the Water Industry (Specified Infrastructure Projects) (English Undertakers) Regulations 2013.
