	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 21/10/2019 answer text <p>The electricity used by the FCO across its UK estate is procured using the Crown Commercial Service (CCS). CCS is an executive agency and trading fund of the Cabinet Office of the British Government.</p><p>Through their competitively tendered Energy related commercial agreements, CCS ensure all legislation is adhered to including the environmental standards of suppliers. CCS is not able to dictate the sources of power to be supplied to the government departments as this is internal policy driven. The FCO is currently receiving electricity from the standard UK supply mix, however they have the option to access renewable energy from a variety of alternative routes, taking into account the additional financial commitment.</p><p>The current CCS framework under which the FCO procures its electricity expires in 2023. Under the CCS framework, the electricity is supplied by EDF. The electricity supplied is not solely from renewable resources. The CCS Framework does provide the ability to have electricity solely from renewable resources. The Foreign and Commonwealth Office is in crisis mode to respond to those British Nationals affected by the outbreak of the Coronavirus. Our Embassy in Beijing and consular teams remain in close contact with British nationals in the region to ensure they have the latest information they need. The Foreign and Commonwealth Office organised a repatriation flight for British Nationals and other entitled persons in Hubei Province which landed on 31 January at RAF Brize Norton, carrying 83 British nationals, including some Government staff and medics, and 41 foreign nationals. On 2 February, we successfully evacuated a further 11 people – 7 British nationals and 4 dependents. They landed at RAF Brize Norton and were transferred to an isolation facility upon arrival. These figures were correct as of 4 February. Contact with the Chinese authorities continued at Senior Official level. The Chinese Government did make a last-minute decision to allow dual nationals and dependents to board the UK flight which arrived at RAF Brize Norton on 31 January. At 1945 on 2 February, we successfully evacuated a further 11 people – 7 British nationals and 4 dependents. These figures were correct as of 4 February. We encourage India and Pakistan to open channels of communication and engage in dialogue as a means to resolving differences. We have welcomed India’s commitment to economic and social development in India administered Kashmir and have asked the Indian Government to provide more detail on how their plans will be realised. We do not currently have any aid programmes in India administered Kashmir or Pakistan administered Kashmir. We raise our concerns with the Government of India where appropriate. Lord Ahmad of Wimbledon discussed the Government of India’s intent with, and popular response to, the CAA with India’s Minister of State for External Affairs on 19 December 2019. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 23/10/2019 answer text <p>In March 2018, in order to establish the facts around the actions of the Myanmar military, we co-sponsored a resolution that led to the establishment of an independent, international Fact Finding Mission (FFM). During its mandate, the FFM documented atrocities in Myanmar. The FFM was clear that what transpired in Myanmar amounted to ethnic cleansing and could be genocide.</p><p>We agree that any judgment on whether genocide has occurred is a matter for competent courts, after consideration of all the evidence, through a credible judicial process. We are aware that The Gambia is planning on bringing a case at the ICJ on behalf of the OIC. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 23/10/2019 answer text <p>We are monitoring the situation in Kashmir closely and are in regular contact with the Governments of both India and Pakistan. Regarding representations to India specifically, the Prime Minister has spoken to Prime Minister Modi about the situation, underlining the importance of maintaining dialogue. The Foreign Secretary has raised his concerns about the situation with the Indian Minister for External Affairs Dr Jaishankar. The Minister for the Commonwealth, UN and South Asia has also had regular engagement with the Indian High Commissioner, and discussed Kashmir with the Indian Minister of Minority Affairs during his visit to New Delhi this month.</p><p>We recognise that there are human rights concerns in both India-administered Kashmir and Pakistan-administered Kashmir. We encourage all states to ensure domestic laws are in line with international standards. Any allegation of human rights abuse is deeply concerning and must be investigated thoroughly, promptly, transparently and independently.</p><p>The Government’s longstanding position is that it is for India and Pakistan to find a lasting political resolution to the situation in Kashmir, taking into account the wishes of Kashmiri people. It is not for the UK to prescribe a solution or act as mediator.
