	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 29/03/2018 answer text <p>Comparable figures for expenditure on running costs at 1 Carlton Gardens are only available from 2009/10 due to changes in financial recording processes.</p><p>Running costs include rent, maintenance, minor improvement and repair costs, cleaning, security, facilities management charges and utilities.</p><p>Running costs for the 2 available financial years are:</p><p>2009/10: £590,830</p><p>2010/11: £716,121</p><p>During 2010/11 Financial Year the Foreign Secretary moved in to the Official Residence at 1 Carlton Gardens. As a result there was an increase in Security costs. The balance of the increase in costs is due to works that were required as a result of the Quadrennial Inspections of listed buildings in 2009, and in accordance with lease obligations. Egypt is a Foreign and Commonwealth Office Human Rights Priority Country and the UK regularly raises concerns about human rights with the Egyptian Government both in public and private. On 18 September we issued a statement at the UN Human Rights Council in which we raised specific concern about the 'arrests of activists, bloggers and journalists'. I also raised our human rights concerns with the Egyptian Foreign Minister during my visit to Cairo on 14 October.
