Plans are currently underway to make the NIPT test available on the National Health Service for Down’s syndrome, Edwards’ and Patau’s syndromes only.</p><p> </p><p>Sex selection is not one of the lawful grounds for termination of pregnancy. It is illegal for a practitioner to carry out an abortion for that reason alone, unless the certifying practitioners consider that an abortion was justified in relation to at least one of the grounds in the Abortion Act 1967 such as a gender-linked inherited medical condition. As set out in the National Health Service vision paper, Universal Personalised Care – Implementing the Comprehensive Model, NHS England intend to rollout a comprehensive model, based on learning and evidence to date which includes mechanisms to support delivery.</p><p>This will provide support such as personalised care and support planning, and include support for people to have personal health budgets. This is an amount of money to support a person’s identified health and wellbeing needs, planned and agreed between them and their local clinical commissioning group.</p><p>In addition to the vision set out in Universal Personalised Care – Implementing the Comprehensive Model, NHS England has committed to offering all children with cancer whole genome sequencing to enable more comprehensive and precise diagnosis, and access to more personalised treatments. This covers 35 minor conditions, including recommendations on the use of emollients for self-care of mild dry skin. The recommendation in this guidance only applies to those with mild dry skin or mild irritant dermatitis. If CCGs have implemented the guidance as intended, patients with moderate to severe eczema will still be able to receive their emollients on prescription as it is a chronic condition.</p><p> </p><p>NHS England has also recently run a consultation on ‘Items which should not routinely be prescribed in primary care: an update and a consultation on further guidance for clinical commissioning groups (CCGs)’. This included proposals around the proscribing of emollient bath and shower preparations (it did not cover all emollients, which come in a range of other formulations).</p><p> </p><p>Variation of prescribing of emollient bath and shower preparations was reviewed and published as part of the consultation undertaken from 28 November 2018 – 28 February 2019. This includes ensuring wider availability of the opioid-overdose antidote naloxone, providing messages to use with people at risk, and issuing public health alerts when there is sufficient evidence of harm from particular drugs like fentanyl.</p><p>Local authorities are responsible for commissioning drug treatment services and interventions to reduce drug-related harm, based on local need.</p><p>My Rt. hon. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 10/07/2018 answer text <p>Public Health England’s (PHE’s) ‘One You’ adult health campaign raises awareness of the health risks associated with excessive alcohol consumption, including cancers. ‘One You’ provides information, advice and online tools to help people drink less, including the ‘How Are You’ health quiz, website, email programme and the Drinks Tracker app.</p><p> </p><p>In addition, PHE’s ‘Be Clear on Cancer’ campaigns include a leaflet for public distribution through general practice surgeries, outreach events and partner organisations. Ministers and officials are currently engaged in a series of meetings with stakeholders in the development of the strategy, which we hope to be able to publish early next year.</p><p> </p><p>The United Kingdom Chief Medical Officers’ low risk drinking guidelines were published in 2016 to provide the public with the most up to date scientific information to help people make informed decisions about their own drinking. The Department subsequently issued guidance in March 2017 setting out how the guidelines can be communicated on alcohol labels to better inform consumers. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 16/07/2018 answer text <p>Under the Health Service Products (Provision and Disclosure of Information) Regulations 2018, manufacturers, importers and wholesalers of special medicinal products are required to provide the Department, every quarter, with purchase and/or sales information about products already listed with a price in the Drug Tariff and products that are being considered for listing with a price in the Drug Tariff. This information will be used to inform the reimbursement prices for special medicinal products. In addition, under the same Regulations, the Department can request ad-hoc information about sales and purchases as well as costs about any special medicinal products.</p><p> </p><p>The Health Service Medical Supplies (Costs) Act 2017 enables the Government to reimburse for specials dispensed in primary care in different ways such as considering quotes of suppliers and not reimbursing pharmacies at all if, for example, they have been provided the medicine by a central service. We have continued to expand the number of products for which there is a reimbursement price listed in the Drug Tariff, thus reducing the cost and the variation in what the National Health Service pays. Since these reimbursement arrangements were introduced in 2011 we have observed that in England the average cost for specials listed in the Drug Tariff decreased by 58% between 2011 and first quarter of 2018.</p><p> </p><p>We have taken powers in the Health Service Medical Supplies (Costs) Act 2017, which enable the Government to reimburse for specials dispensed in primary care in different ways such as considering quotes of suppliers and not reimbursing pharmacies at all if, for example, they have been provided the medicine by a central service.
