	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 26/07/2019 answer text <p>The majority of patients with migraine can be managed through routine access to primary and secondary care. Migraine management is identified within the core competencies for the care for people with neurological conditions in the Royal College of General Practitioners’ (RCGP) GP curriculum. Migraines are also identified as an key area of clinical knowledge in the RCGP Applied Knowledge Test (AKT) content guide. The AKT is a summative assessment of the knowledge base that underpins general practice in the United Kingdom within the context of the National Health Service and is a key part of GPs’ qualifying exams. <br></p><p>The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) guideline, ‘Headaches: Diagnosis and management of headaches in young people and adults’, published in 2012 and updated in 2015, sets out evidence based best practice for healthcare professionals in the care, treatment and support of people who suffer from migraines.</p><p> </p><p>The usual treatment approaches to migraine are designed to either stop or prevent attacks. Modelling shows that the programme, is cost effective with potential savings to the National Health Service of around £57 million per year after four years, rising to £176 million per year after 15 years. This equates to a cost per Quality Adjusted Life Year of around £3,000, considerably lower than the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence’s threshold. The cost benefits of the programme primarily arise from the opportunity it presents to prevent 1,600 heart attacks and strokes and save at least 650 lives each year. A copy of the Economic Modelling for Vascular Checks is attached.</p><p>The United Kingdom National Screening Committee has not undertaken an assessment of the impact of routine screening for the elderly to prevent deaths due to heart disease. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 24/06/2019 answer text <p>The United Kingdom’s five-year national action plan for Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR), published 24 January 2019, includes a strengthened focus on infection prevention and control, renewing our commitment to halve levels of healthcare associated Gram-negative blood stream infections by 2023-24. The plan also sets a world-first target to reduce the actual numbers of resistant infections, with the aim to reduce them by 10% by 2025.</p><p>We will achieve our ambitions by adopting a systematic approach to preventing infections, enhancing surveillance and adding Carbapenem resistant Gram-negative infections to the list of notifiable diseases. There will also be enhanced roles for Directors of Infection Prevention and Control, a review of workforce needs and targeted interventions around hand hygiene.</p><p>The NHS Long Term Plan makes the commitment to implement the human health aspects of the UK AMR national action plan. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 05/06/2019 answer text <p>The NHS Long Term Plan committed to increasing the provision of mental health support for all patients who require it. The importance of addressing the mental health needs of people with diabetes is recognised and further work is underway to consider the most effective routes for supporting this as part of the future development of services.</p><p> </p><p>On 21 March 2018, NHS England and NHS Improvement, along with the National Collaborating Centre for Mental Health, published ‘The Improving Access to Psychotherapy Therapy (IAPT) Pathway for People with Long-term Physical Health Conditions and Medically Unexplained Symptoms’.
