This follows the existing National Maternity Safety Ambition to halve the 2010 rates of neonatal deaths (as well as stillbirths, maternal deaths and brain injuries that occur during or soon after birth) by 2025, and to achieve a 20% reduction in these rates by 2020. The recovery package is a set of four interventions designed to help patients and clinicians assess a patient’s holistic needs and plan appropriately for their care and support, and includes a health and wellbeing event – or similar – empowering patients to independently manage their own health, with advice and support.</p><p> </p><p>The National Health Service Long Term Plan provides an excellent opportunity to look at how cancer and other services can be further improved over the next decade.
