	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 30/01/2018 answer text <p>Carillion is building the new Royal Liverpool Hospital under a Private Finance Initiative (PFI) contract. The PFI contract between the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust and the PFI Project Company is still in place, which means that the Company is still contractually obliged to manage the project and find a construction firm or subcontractor who can continue the building work. This is important for the trust and also an incentive for the PFI Project Company to minimise delay. Additionally, the Department and NHS Improvement have been supporting the Trust with contingency planning for this to ensure there is minimal disruption.</p><p> </p><p>The Royal Liverpool Hospital scheme is very well advanced. The National Health Service is now seeing over 1,800 more patients within four hours every single day compared to 2009/10.</p><p>The Government has given the NHS an additional £1.6 billion to support and improve performance. It is the awarding of an ACO contract by local commissioners that would create an ACO. The regulations simply ensure that current rules continue to apply to any ACO contract. That means we have already achieved our 35% coverage target, 8 months ahead of schedule.</p><p> </p><p>I am planning to deliver an additional 101 teams by spring 2024 taking us to 500. The NIHR – who undertook a review of the programme – found that 77% of children and young people surveyed saw positive improvements in their mental health and wellbeing. Intensive support is in place to improve A&amp;E performance and lessen the impact of handover delays on East Midlands Ambulance Service. Performance improvement plans are in place at 11 hospital sites, with progress being closely monitored by NHS Improvement.
