	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 22/09/2022 answer text <p>In order to ensure our services are available to all, including those with varying or complex needs, DWP provides choice in how customers can access our services to claim their State Pension.</p><p> </p><p>State Pension invite letters are issued to prompt a customer to claim State Pension four months before State Pension age. In the unlikely event of not receiving an invite letter there are still four access routes to claim, making sure those with differing or complex needs have options to use the most appropriate route based on their individual requirements. This includes online, telephony and postal channels. Customers, or their trusted helpers, can choose the most appropriate route to support their needs.</p><p> </p><p>Where, during contact with the department, someone is identified as having additional or complex needs, DWP Agents have access to the Advanced Customer Support Team who ensure DWP has the services and tools in place to help our most vulnerable customers identify, access and engage with the support that they need when they have multiple barriers. This includes support to make a claim and to ensure first payments are made on time, signposting, or referrals to external organisations if needed. All channels offer alternative formats when the claim is made which includes braille, British Sign Language, email, a hearing loop, translations, large print and audio.</p><p> </p><p>In addition, the Government provides free and impartial Pension Wise guidance for anyone who is over the age of 50 with a defined contribution pension (DC). Pension Wise helps individuals with the options they have to access their DC workplace and private pensions savings. This guidance is delivered by the Money and Pensions Service (MaPS) who are required to comply with the Equality Act 2010 and must make reasonable adjustments for people’s accessibility needs. Employers, including Local Authorities (LAs), have existing duties under the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002 to manage health risks where workers may be exposed to hazardous substances as a result of work. The Regulations are supported by Workplace Exposure Limits (WELS) for substances hazardous to health. These will inform an employer’s assessment and management of risk from exhaust emissions and pollutants such as Nitrogen Dioxide and Carbon Monoxide that can give rise to Occupational Lung Diseases (OLD).</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>Tackling OLDs as a result of exposure to hazardous substances at work is one of HSE’s health priorities. The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) or local authority are the enforcement authority dependent upon the nature of the premises concerned. Several approaches are used ensure compliance with the law:</p><p> </p><ol><li>Engagement - HSE liaises with a wide range of stakeholders at a strategic level, which supports a two-way flow of information. Specific examples of stakeholder groups in which security issues have a relatively high profile are the <a href="https://www.hse.gov.uk/catering/forum.htm" target="_blank">Hospitality Industry Liaison Forum</a> and the <a href="https://www.hse.gov.uk/entertainment/theatre-tv/jace.htm" target="_blank">Joint Advisory Committee for Entertainment</a>, both of which are chaired by HSE.</li><li>Advice - HSE publishes specific <a href="https://www.hse.gov.uk/violence/toolkit/supervisors.htm" target="_blank">guidance</a> for employers on the safety of security workers, and on work-related <a href="https://www.hse.gov.uk/violence/index.htm" target="_blank">violence and aggression</a>.</li><li>Information - HSE provides links on its website to stakeholder produced guidance, such as that provided by the <a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/security-industry-authority" target="_blank">Security Industry Authority</a>.</li><li>Regulation - Enforcing authorities have the power to inspect workplaces and investigate incidents and complaints. Security is a cross-cutting issue that has relevance in a wide range of industry sectors. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 19/04/2022 answer text <p>The Secretary of State undertakes an annual review of benefits and pensions, and the Consumer Prices Increase (CPI) in the year to September (published by the Office for National Statistics in October) is the latest figure that the Secretary of State can use to allow sufficient time for the required legislative and operational changes before new rates can be introduced at the start of the new financial year.</p><p> </p><p>We recognise people are facing pressures with the cost of living – which is why we are providing support with the cost of living worth £22 billion across this financial year and next.</p><p> </p><p>In his Spring Statement the Chancellor announced the doubling the Support Fund to help households with the cost of living to £1billion by providing an extra £500 million from April 2022, on top of the £500 million already provided since October 2021. In England, The Household Support Fund will help households with the cost of essentials such as food, clothing and utilities and will continue to be distributed to Local Authorities, who are best placed to direct help to those who need it most.
