	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 11/04/2019 answer text <p>Youth work is coordinated by local authorities and/or other local third party organisations and so DWP has made no recent assessment of the role youth work plays in tackling youth unemployment.</p><p> </p><p>The DWP is committed to providing targeted support for young people so that everyone, no matter what their start in life, is given the very best chance of getting into work. We work with young people to tackle youth unemployment in a number of ways. For example, the Jobcentre Plus Support for Schools programme (England only) targets young people aged 12-18 who are at particular risk of being out of education, employment or training (NEET).</p><p> </p><p>JCP School Advisers attend secondary schools and provide information for students, teachers and parents on the alternatives to further or higher education into the world of work, such as, through traineeships and apprenticeships. They use their connections with local employers to facilitate the offer of work experience.</p><p> </p><p>An external evaluation was published in April 2018 which found that, overall, it was clear the programme has been well-received by schools and other stakeholders. It was seen to take a flexible, school-led approach to provision that has allowed a range of different schools to fill gaps in their provision relating to post-school pathways. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 12/09/2017 answer text <p>The increase in appeals for these benefits was for the following reasons:</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>ESA. </strong>There has been a significant change over 2016/17 in the makeup of Work Capability Assessments. As capacity with the provider has increased, this has enabled us to undertake assessments on a greater range of cases, including more reassessment cases and more cases which require a face-to-face assessment. This has changed the case mix and we are seeing more fit-for-work and work-related activity group decisions. Fit-for-work decisions are more likely to be appealed. But it should be noted that between April 2014-December 2016, 2.1m ESA WCA decisions have been made, of these just 8% have been appealed and only 4% have been overturned.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>PIP. </strong>The increase is consequent on the upscaling of the roll-out of the DLA to PIP migration programme. Those who either were not awarded PIP or were given a reduced award were likely to dispute those decisions. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 10/02/2016 answer text <p>We recognise that the transition from DLA to PIP can be challenging for individuals, which is why the Department worked closely with Motability as we developed our plans for the introduction of PIP. The Motability charity provides a one-off package of transitional support and advice to support customers who no longer meet the eligibility criteria for the Motability scheme. For most of these customers who entered into their first lease agreement with Motability before January 2013, Motability will provide transitional support of £2,000. This will enable many former Scheme customers to continue to meet their mobility needs by purchasing a used car.</p><p>For customers who entered into their first lease agreement with the scheme after January 2013 and up to December 2013, Motability will supply transitional support of £1,000 to assist with mobility costs. Motability is also providing help with the cost of adaptations made to non-scheme vehicles and information on non-scheme motoring and insurance. The Scheme also offers customers an opportunity to purchase their vehicle after the end of the lease.</p><p>Support with employment is available through the Access to Work Scheme, which is potentially available on application to anyone with a health condition or disability that affects the way they perform their job and who needs practical support above and beyond the reasonable adjustments that an employer has a duty to make under the Equality Act 2010.
