This funding is not ringfenced, which enables local authorities to make spending decisions that more closely match local needs and circumstances. The planning applications submitted have been subject to a number of judicial reviews, which has delayed the sale. In the event that the UK leaves the EU without a deal, the provisions of the EU airspace and air traffic management regulations would be replicated in national law under the EU Withdrawal Act.
