In November 2016, the Secretary of State announced new funding to support 40 grassroots organisations with the local knowledge and expertise to address Female Genital Mutilation and child, early and forced marriage. The UK led efforts across the globe to ensure that a target to end VAWG formed part of the UN Sustainable Development Goals and we are now focused on seeing this target implemented.
