star this property answer text <p>As we move into the second phase of negotiations we are confident of agreeing a bold and ambitious economic partnership with the EU that is of greater scope than any such existing agreement.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>The Government is carrying out an ongoing programme of comprehensive analytical work to define our deep and special partnership with the EU and inform our understanding of how EU exit will affect the UK’s domestic policies and frameworks.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>We will continue to engage with businesses and industry bodies from all sectors of the economy, and all regions of the UK, in order to inform our negotiations with the EU.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>Whilst we will not release information that could be prejudicial to our negotiating position, nor provide a running commentary on the Government’s analysis, Ministers have undertaken to provide analysis of the proposed terms of the agreement ahead of a meaningful vote.</p><p> </p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The Department for Exiting the European Union has met a number of stakeholders from the agricultural sector, including the National Farmers Union, National Pig Association, the Country Land and Business Association and the International Meat Trade Association.</p><p>The Government is also working closely with the Devolved Administrations. The Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs is meeting his ministerial counterparts in the Welsh and Scottish Governments, along with a senior official from the Northern Ireland Executive Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs, in late September for on-going discussions on the UK’s withdrawal from the EU. Further joint ministerial meetings will take place on a regular basis, as well as continued bilateral discussions.</p><p> </p> more like this

We now want to take the opportunities leaving brings to reform the UK’s agricultural policy and ensure we make the most of these for our farmers and exporters.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>The document to which the Honourable Member’s question refers is preliminary draft analysis and does not represent Government policy. As Ministers clearly set out in the House, this is provisional and incomplete internal work, part of a broad ongoing programme of analysis, and further work is in train.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>It is analysis of existing trade relationships - none of which is the outcome we are working towards. As the Prime Minister has made clear, we are seeking the broadest and deepest possible partnership with the EU – covering more sectors and co-operating more fully than any Free Trade Agreement anywhere in the world today.</p><p> </p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>During the implementation period, the UK will remain a signatory of the EU Treaties and the rights and obligations contained in them, including with respect to the movement of agricultural workers. Our domestic implementation of EU law remains in place.</p><p>On Thursday 6th September, the Home Office and Defra announced a nationwide pilot scheme to bring migrant workers to UK farms. More information is available at Gov.uk. We will continue to engage with stakeholders, including the National Farmers' Union, during this pilot and as we seek reciprocal mobility arrangements with the EU.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The Secretary of State continues to have regular conversations with ministerial colleagues across Government on all aspects of exiting the EU.</p><p>To provide certainty to farmers and landowners, the Government has pledged to commit the same cash total in funds for farm support until the end of this Parliament. This commitment applies to the whole UK.</p><p>The Agriculture Bill will allow us to break from the Common Agricultural Policy and help our farming sector become more profitable whilst sustaining our precious natural environment.</p><p> </p> more like this
