	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 20/11/2018 answer text <p>As the Prime Minister has made clear, we are committed to securing a deal that works for the whole of the United Kingdom including Welsh-speaking communities. The UK Government has been working closely and effectively with the Welsh Government, the Secretary of State for Wales and Welsh stakeholders on EU Exit to ensure this.</p><p>This includes, for example, the Joint Ministerial Committee on EU Negotiations and the Ministerial Forum on EU Negotiations. The Ministerial Forum recently discussed the UK Government’s proposals for continued cooperation with the EU on culture and education as well as options for continued participation in successor schemes to EU funding programmes, such as Creative Europe, which I understand has played a role in supporting a number of Welsh language projects. However, as a responsible government we are preparing for all possible outcomes. Departments’ plans are well developed and are designed to respond to all scenarios, including the unlikely possibility that we leave the EU without a deal in place. Some delivery of contingency plans has already become evident, and more will become public over the coming weeks and months. We should not forget what it took to achieve that. The government has set aside £5m to celebrate this important milestone in our democracy. Events are being planned across government to honour the extraordinary sacrifices made by the many suffragettes and the landmark changes they brought about.</p><p><strong><br></strong>The Department for Exiting the European Union’s staff networks are planning a number of events and activities to mark the centenary. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 22/02/2019 answer text <p>The UK pushed hard in negotiations to include the right to stand and vote in local elections for UK nationals living in the EU, and EU citizens in the UK, but they will not be included in the Withdrawal Agreement as the Commission said it was out of scope.</p><p>The Government has made clear that we will pursue bilateral arrangements with individual Member States. Ministers have written to all member states to offer bilateral agreements on local voting rights.</p><p>We have now reached an agreement with Spain that will secure the rights of UK nationals living in Spain, and Spanish citizens living in the UK, to stand and vote in local elections.
