	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 04/09/2014 answer text <p> </p><p /> <p> </p><p /> <p>The Food Statistics Pocketbook 2013 (<a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/food-statistics-pocketbook" target="_blank">https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/food-statistics-pocketbook</a>) contains a chapter on environmental statistics, including greenhouse gas emissions. Around 176 million tonnes of CO<sub>2</sub> equivalent greenhouse gases (mt CO<sub>2</sub>e) were emitted within the UK from domestic agri-food sector activity in 2011. This excludes emissions from non-fertiliser pre-farm gate production, food packaging, food waste and land use change; the largest contributor is net trade in food and drink, estimated at 61 mt CO<sub>2</sub>e. Water prices for the 2010 to 2015 period were set in Ofwat's 2009 water price review.</p><p /> <p> </p><p /> <p> </p><p /> <p>The percentage change in the average cost (in real prices) of a combined water and sewerage bill in England and Wales during the 2010-2015 period is as follows: -0.6% (2010/11), 0.2% (2011/12), -0.1% (2012/13). The forecast for 2013/14 is 0.5% and for 2014/15 around 2%. The changes year on year usually relate to the profile of water industry investment agreed in the 2009 price review. For 2014/15, water companies are taking steps to hold customer bills down and in some cases are giving up price increases that were allowed for in 2009.</p><p /> <p> </p><p /> <p> </p><p /> <p>Ofwat's 2014 water price review is now underway and will determine water prices for the 2015 to 2020 period. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 07/05/2014 answer text <p> </p><p>(a) There are a number of schemes where borough councils can apply for funding towards their own costs in dealing with flooding and these are listed below.</p><p> </p><p>The Bellwin Scheme of emergency financial assistance (funding to help Local Authorities in the emergency phase of the flooding to protect lives or property) – through the Department for Communities and Local Government.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>Funding for repair of damages to roads (hit by weather damage) – through the Department for Transport</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The business support scheme (hardship funding for SME businesses in areas affected by the floods) – through the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>(b) Borough councils can also apply for funding towards the cost of flood protection schemes from Flood Defence Grant in Aid through the Environment Agency. Second tier local authorities including Borough Councils can apply for capital grants towards flood and coastal erosion risk management projects. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 09/04/2014 answer text <p> </p><p>A target has been set to simplify all of Defra and its agencies' guidance, including general reader and specialist guidance, by March 2015 with an expected reduction in volume of over 80%.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>Guidance reform plans have now been prepared for all environmental topics and the Environment Agency started to put revised guidance on GOV.UK on 31 March. Seventy per cent of simplified content for the general reader will be on GOV.UK during April and the rest by June.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>Defra and the Government Digital Service (GDS) are working closely together to make the most effective use of resources as GDS migrates Defra's arm's length bodies' web content to GOV.UK. The original target date for completing this migration process was March this year.
