The oversight and protection of workers was a central element of the selection process for Pilot Operators. The selected Pilot Operators were first publically announced in the Statement of changes to the Immigration Rules, which was laid on 11 December and is available here: <a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/statement-of-changes-to-the-immigration-rules-hc-1779-11-december-2018" target="_blank">https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/statement-of-changes-to-the-immigration-rules-hc-1779-11-december-2018</a>.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>Officials will continue working closely with the GLAA over the two year operation of the Pilot. A key objective of the pilot is to ensure that migrant workers are adequately protected against modern slavery and other labour abuses. The operators of the scheme will be licensed by the GLAA. They will ensure that all workers are placed with farms who adhere to all relevant legislation, including paying the National Minimum Wage. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 25/03/2019 answer text <p>The Government set out in the Resources and Waste Strategy, the actions we will take to encourage producers to take more responsibility for the lifespan of their products and make sure these are more carefully designed with resource efficiency, and waste prevention in mind. This includes wet wipes.</p><p> </p><p>The Government is working with the water industry and wet wipe manufacturers to prevent wet wipes entering our waterways and damaging our marine environment. I hosted a cross industry wet wipes roundtable in November 2016, to tackle the issue of wipes being incorrectly flushed and causing sewer blockages. Following the meeting, revised wet wipe industry guidance requires a ‘Do Not Flush’ label to be displayed far more prominently on non-flushable wipes.</p><p> </p><p>We support the water industry’s ongoing work on their voluntary ‘Fine to Flush’ label, to ensure that any wipes which are marked as being ‘flushable’, are plastic free and are truly flushable, meaning they can enter the sewage system without causing blockages or harming the environment. The Government has, however, supported and continues to support a number of projects related to the reuse and recycling of batteries and hydrogen fuel cells used in electric vehicles. Examples include the ‘ICoNiChem: recycling rare materials in electric vehicles’ <a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/case-studies/iconichem-recycling-rare-materials-in-electric-vehicles" target="_blank">study</a> and the <a href="https://gtr.ukri.org/projects?ref=101896" target="_blank">Fuel Cell Recovery Project</a>.</p><p> </p><p>Electric vehicle batteries are banned from disposal to landfill and from incineration. Battery treatment facilities are required to meet certain recycling efficiencies under the Waste Batteries and Accumulators Regulations 2009.
