We have taken decisive action on fixed-odds betting terminals to cut the maximum stake to £2. On 5<sup>th</sup> September, the Gambling Commission launched its consultation on proposals to increase player protections online, including stronger age and identity verification. star this property answer text <p>The Civil Society Strategy recently set out government's long term ambition to grow social value commissioning and strengthen the Social Value Act.</p><p>We have already committed £2.7 million to support the growth and sustainability of public service mutuals, the majority of which are staff-led social enterprises.</p><p> </p><p>With the Cabinet Office, DCMS is implementing a package of measures for the future of social value and procurement. This includes training for government commercial staff and will help unlock more opportunities for social enterprises.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>We take problem gambling very seriously and protecting vulnerable people is a key aim for the Government and the Gambling Commission.</p><p> </p><p>The rate of problem gambling among the adult population in Britain has remained relatively stable over many years, and is currently 0.8%.</p><p> </p><p>Our consultation on gaming machines and social responsibility closed in January. It made clear we will cut stakes on fixed-odds betting terminals. It also included measures to strengthen protections around other gaming machines, online gambling and gambling advertising.</p> more like this

We are giving the report’s recommendations full consideration and will respond in due course. star this property answer text <p>The government remains committed to the Public Services (Social Value) Act 2012 and believes it can contribute to creating a diverse public services supply market and harness wider benefits for our communities.</p><p>On 25 June, the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster and Minister for the Cabinet Office, David Lidington announced our intention to lead by example by extending application of the Act across central government. Doing so will not require legislation. Officials from the Cabinet Office, Crown Commercial Service and Office for Civil Society, DCMS will work together to implement this policy with departments and explore further opportunities for the Act.</p> more like this

In addition, the Government is investing up to £40 million (in partnership with the Big Lottery Fund) in the Youth Investment Fund, which is supporting 90 youth organisations around the country to create and expand open access youth projects, and is expected to benefit up to 300,000 young people. This is part of a wider range of Government investment in services and opportunities for young people such as the #iwill fund and National Citizen Service.</p><p> </p> more like this
