	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 09/07/2019 answer text Preventing children and other vulnerable persons from being harmed by gambling is a priority for government and a core licensing objective for the Gambling Commission.<p><br>Operators offering gambling services to people in Great Britain must have a licence from the Gambling Commission and must have effective policies and procedures designed to prevent underage gambling. Where there is a failure to do so, the Gambling Commission has shown it is willing to act using the range of powers to act at its disposal.</p><p>The Gambling Commission has taken action to strengthen protections for young people. In May this year it introduced stricter age and identity verification controls, requiring all consumers to be age verified before they are able to deposit money or access free-to-play demo games. Government has also worked positively with five major operators resulting in commitments to using online technology where available to target gambling adverts away from people showing signs of problem gambling behaviour. They will also further share further data with to protect problem gamblers from experiencing further harm.</p><p>From September 2020, health education will be compulsory for all pupils in state-funded primary and secondary schools. This will cover education on online harms, including the risks related to online gambling. The non-statutory Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) programme of study, published by the PSHE Association, includes teaching about gambling and its psychological and financial impact. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 03/07/2019 answer text <p>VisitBritain and VisitEngland are responsible for promoting the UK as a tourist destination, which they do through a range of different initiatives and campaigns. VisitBritain sit on the Coastal Tourism Leadership Forum (run by the National Coastal Tourism Academy), helping to shape the Coastal Visitor Economy Vision and Action Plan. DCMS are observers at the forum. VisitEngland administer the £40m Discover England Fund which develops innovative products with customisable, bookable itineraries across England. The England’s Coast project is a good example of this and includes the North East coastline in its itineraries.</p><p> </p><p>My colleagues in the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government also provide support and funding to coastal areas through the Coastal Communities Fund and the Coastal Revival Fund, much of which has a tourism focus. They have also set up Coastal Community Teams around the country to support the development of the coastal economy.</p><p> </p><p>The Tourism Sector Deal was announced on 28th June with the aim of boosting the sector’s productivity as we look forward to welcoming up to 9m more visitors a year in the future. As part of the Sector Deal, initiatives such as Tourism Zones will provide focused support for areas across the country. Coastal regions are among those who will be able to take part in the bidding process.</p><p> </p><p>In terms of the impact of EU exit on tourism, we will remain an open and welcoming destination, and we want international visitors to experience all the wonderful coastlines, countryside, and culture that the UK has to offer.For example, the UK and the EU have proposed reciprocal visa-free travel arrangements to enable UK and EU citizens to continue to travel freely for tourism in the future. This is also the case in a no deal scenario. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 23/07/2019 answer text <p>The government’s loneliness strategy, ‘A connected society - A strategy for tackling loneliness’, recognises that, while increasingly we understand the impact of loneliness, there is less certainty about its drivers and what works to tackle it. As a result, the strategy did not set a quantitative target for change. Rather it sets out the government's commitment to establishing a clearer picture of the prevalence of loneliness, through a new national measure and by developing the evidence base on what works. It commits government to publishing annual progress reports that provide an update on the implementation of the policies set out in the strategy, as well as the development of additional policies. As government reviews its approach, and further learning is generated, government will explore the possibility – and suitability – of setting a quantitative target for change. This is not likely to be possible for some years, as it will take time for sufficient data and learning to be available.
