The Government is considering the implications for national security and resilience caused by the decision by the BBC not to use the Met Office after autumn 2016 as its forecast provider. This has enabled the department to add to its evidence base to support priority government areas.</p><p> </p><p>Since January 2011, details of central government contracts above the value of £10,000 are published on Contracts Finder.
