The Iraq Inquiry has announced arrangements for next of kin of those who lost their
lives in Iraq to see embargoed copies of the report on the day of publication. Representatives
of the Armed Forces welfare and family liaison services will be on hand at the publication
of the report and will be able to discuss with family members what further support
might be helpful to them. Government is currently considering how best to ensure that
those directly involved in Iraq operations can access the full report from the Inquiry,
and we will announce arrangements in due course. There is no question of families
of service personnel who died in Iraq having to pay for copies of the Chilcot report.
