The Home Office needs to ensure that information intended for publication meets the standards and requirements set for departmental publications. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 05/06/2018 answer text <p>The inclusion of these therapies is based on National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) guidance. NICE is the independent expert body responsible for developing robust, evidence based guidance for the National Health Service. In 2007, NICE published a guideline on the management of chronic fatigue syndrome/myalgic encephalomyelitis (CFS/ME) in adults and children that sets out best practice on the treatment and support of patients. The guidance recommended cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and graded exercise therapy (GET) as appropriate treatments for mild to moderate CFS/ME, in line with the best available evidence from eight randomised controlled trials.
