This price benefits from upfront reduction of £3/MWh built in on assumption that EdF will be able to share first of a kind costs of EPR reactors across Hinkley Point C and Sizewell C sites. If the final investment decision is not taken on Sizewell C, the Strike Price for Hinkley Point C will be £92.50/MWh in 2012 prices. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 23/10/2014 answer text <p>The UK has some of the toughest bioenergy sustainability criteria in the world and the UK remains at the forefront of improving sustainability standards. From next year payments will only be made for biomass which meets these standards.</p><p>The greenhouse gas requirement uses the standard EU methodology and requires that biomass conversions represent at least a 69% GHG saving compared to coal. Generators may also use the Bioenergy Emissions and Counterfactual model to help in sourcing their biomass responsibly. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 23/10/2014 answer text <p>Those installations supplying greater than 50kW of energy from bioliquids have been required to comply with the Renewable Energy Directive sustainability criteria since 2011. The average GHG emissions saving of bioliquids reported to Ofgem in the year 2012-2013 was 84.7%.</p><p>In addition, the UK Government is bringing in tough new sustainability criteria for those supplying energy and power from biomass and biogas.</p><p>Initially these were introduced as reporting requirements from April 2014. Next year we are introducing a mandatory 69% greenhouse gas saving1 requirement. This was delegated to Asset Skills and Construction Skills respectively to allocate on our behalf. With support from the funding, 841 Green Deal Advisors and 750 installer operatives have completed their training. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 20/10/2014 answer text <p>If a final contract is signed, it is expected that the investors in Hinkley Point C would, subject to conditions, receive compensation in the event of a political shut down of the plant other than for reasons including health, nuclear safety, security, environmental reasons, nuclear transport or nuclear safeguards. These arrangements would be supported by an agreement between my rt. hon. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 17/10/2014 answer text <p>In 2011, the Government published the Carbon Plan describing how the UK will make the transition to a low carbon economy in the most cost effective way. The Plan sets out a unified strategy for reducing emissions across all sectors of the economy, including: buildings, transport, industry, power, agriculture and waste.</p><p>The Government will set a new unified strategy in an updated Carbon Plan, which will be published after the Fifth Carbon Budget has been set in law, in 2016. The Government sets out on an annual basis its assessment of the progress made in each sector of the economy in response to the Committee on Climate Change’s annual progress report. The Government’s latest response was published on 15 October 2014.</p><p>In addition, Government Departments, industry and academia are working collaboratively on the development of long-term decarbonisation and energy efficiency roadmaps for the eight most heat intensive sectors in the UK. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 16/10/2014 answer text <p>The monthly Green Deal/Energy Company Obligation (ECO) statistical release published by the Department of Energy and Climate Change presents the number of measures installed under the rural sub-obligation of the Carbon Saving Communities Obligation (CSCO) strand of ECO. The latest release was published on 23 September:</p><p><a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/statistics/green-deal-and-energy-company-obligation-eco-monthly-statistics-september-2014" target="_blank">https://www.gov.uk/government/statistics/green-deal-and-energy-company-obligation-eco-monthly-statistics-september-2014</a>.</p><p>A further 13,068 rural sub-obligation measures up to July 2014 were reported by energy companies in anticipation of amendments to the ECO Order, giving a total of 14,341. Please note that these are provisional figures for measures not yet notified but installed since 1 April.</p><p>We do not collect information as to what proportion of total households in rural areas have benefitted from CSCO measures as we do not have data on the total populations in those areas.
