answer text <p>At the Spring Budget, the Government announced £35m over the next three years to improve maternity safety across England.</p><p>This is in addition to our three-year maternity plan, backed by £186m per year from April. Through this, we have introduced 14 maternal medicine networks to provide specialist advice to pregnant women, and we expect all CSs to have a Maternal Mental Health Service by the end of the month.</p> more like this

answer text <p>In the final report to the Prime Minister on Covid-19 health disparities, published in December 2021, the Minister for Women and Equalities recommended that the National Institute for Health Research and the NHS Race and Health Observatory work to increase ethnic minority representation in research projects and clinical trials. This became action 24 in Inclusive Britain, our response to the Commission on Race and Ethnic disparities, published in March 2022.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>In April, we published a report to Parliament on the progress we have made in delivering this and the other 73 actions in Inclusive Britain. answer text <p>Since it was first announced, we have sought to ensure that the pay transparency pilot fits with new priorities introduced by the current Minister for Women and Equalities, and that it does not duplicate work elsewhere in the Equality Hub. answer text <p>Under this government the gender pay gap has fallen significantly, with the gap having fallen from 19.8% to 14.3% over the last decade.</p><p> </p><p>In 2017, we introduced world-leading regulations requiring large employers to publish the differences in average salaries and bonuses for men and women every year. This has ensured that employers are aware of their gaps and are taking steps to close them.</p><p> </p><p>We know that reporting is just the first step, but do not believe that setting arbitrary targets or a timetable will help to drive the changes that we all want to see. The causes of the gender pay gap are complex, and the wider societal shifts required to close it will take time.</p><p> </p><p> </p> more like this

EHRC also sent warning notices to 100 organisations that they suspected had published inaccurate data.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>In 2018/19, the EHRC sent 328 warning notices (300 from the private sector and 28 from the public sector) and sent warning notices to 100 organisations that they suspected had published inaccurate data.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>On 24 March 2020, the Government and the Commission announced that enforcement of the Gender Pay Gap Regulations was suspended due to the impact of Covid-19.
