<p>The Government has already waived import taxes on crucial medical equipment coming
to the UK; allowing for more protective clothing, tests and ventilators to get to
those on the frontline protecting people and the NHS.</p><p> </p><p>Personal Protection
Equipment (including surgical masks and gloves) purchased by charitable welfare organisations
providing services to disabled people, such as care homes, is zero-rated when purchased
using either donations or associated charitable funds.</p>
