answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 23/04/2018 answer text <p>HMRC investigates companies where fraudulent behaviour can be attributed to individuals who are directing minds of the company.</p><p>However, HMRC also investigates individuals who are officers of companies but are prosecuted for irregularities relating to their personal tax affairs rather than that of the company. The Policy Partnership is not a document or policy, but is rather the term used to describe the relationship between HMT and HMRC.</p><p> </p><p>HMT leads on strategic work and tax policy development, supported by HMRC. HMRC leads on policy maintenance and delivery, supported by HMT.
