answer text <p>It is not possible to answer the question without incurring disproportionate costs in the time available. answer text <p>Treasury ministers and officials have meetings with a wide variety of organisations in the public and private sectors as part of the process of policy development and delivery.</p><p> </p><p>HMRC provide guidance for all new and existing self-assessment customers via the gov.uk site. Annually HMRC publish notes on how to complete tax returns: <a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/self-assessment-tax-return-sa100" target="_blank">https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/self-assessment-tax-return-sa100</a>. Newly registered customers will receive a welcome letter which will include information on deadlines and what is required of them.</p> more like this

answer text <p>Customers can register to submit a self-assessment return in several ways, including online at Gov.uk, or by phoning HMRC on 03000 200 3500. After registering, the customer will receive a letter containing their 10 digit Unique Taxpayer Reference (UTR) and information on what they need to do next; this letter can take up to 10 working days to arrive.</p><p> </p><p>If the only reason for a customer filing late is that they are awaiting their UTR then, as long as they file their return within a reasonable time of receiving it, they will not have to pay a penalty.</p> more like this
