answer text <p>The Trader Support Service (TSS) is operating smoothly and consistently. To date, over 54.5K businesses have registered for the TSS and more than 40.5K of those businesses regularly use it. The service has processed over 1.25m goods movements, involving more than 4.6m consignments, playing an important role in ensuring the free flow of goods within the UK’s internal market.</p><p> </p><p>Governance structures are in place to review the TSS’ performance and IT functionality to ensure it continues to meet its intended purpose. HMRC also monitors customer satisfaction scores, customer feedback and management information to continuously improve the service. The customer satisfaction score in 2023 was 85%.</p> more like this

answer text <p>At Autumn Statement 2023, the Government published the report of an independent evaluation of the Seed Enterprise Investment Scheme (SEIS), conducted in 2022. The evaluation explored the impact of the SEIS in meeting its policy objectives and found evidence that it was appropriately designed to mobilise additional investment in start-ups and early-stage companies from private investors, providing those businesses with valuable funding for business development and innovation that would otherwise be difficult to find from other sources. answer text <p>The Government is committed to keeping taxes low to support individuals and families to keep more of what they earn.</p><p> </p><p>This is why the Government has nearly doubled the income tax Personal Allowance since 2010 (30% higher in real terms), ensuring some of the lowest earners do not pay income tax. Thanks to the Personal Allowance, around 30% of individuals do not pay tax.</p><p> </p><p>Furthermore, at the Autumn Statement, the Government announced a National Insurance contributions cut for 29 million working people by reducing the main NICs rate from 12% to 10%. This came into effect on 6 January and will result in a £450 annual tax cut for the average worker earning £35,400.</p><p> </p><p>The Government keeps all tax policy under review and any decisions on future changes will be taken by the Chancellor in the context of wider public finances.</p> more like this
