The Chancellor attended the opening ceremony and gave a keynote speech at the main plenary session. He also attended the Gala Dinner and Leaders’ Roundtable hosted by President Xi Jinping.</p><p> </p><p>The Chancellor held bilateral meetings with Vice Premier Hu Chunhua, Premier Li Keqiang, Governor of the People’s Bank of China Yi Gang and Minister of Foreign Affairs for Thailand Don Pramudwinai. The Bank of England does not share information on which customers it holds gold reserves on behalf of, or the value of that gold, as this would contradict their customer confidentiality obligations. However, the Bank of England does publish the weight of all the gold it has in its custody.
