In September, the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) published the new <a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/suicide-prevention-strategy-for-england-2023-to-2028" target="_blank">Suicide prevention strategy for England</a> and launched the <a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/suicide-prevention-grant-fund-2023-to-2025" target="_blank">Suicide Prevention Grant Fund</a> which makes available £10 million from 2023 to 2025 to support suicide prevention. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 05/06/2023 answer text <p>The government published the outcome of the public service pensions consultation on the methodology used to set the Superannuation Contributions Adjusted for Past Experience discount rate (SCAPE) on 30 March 2023. As a result, the previous guidance on setting the discount rates for calculating cash equivalent transfer values (CETV) payable by public service pensions schemes was suspended.</p><p> </p><p>Subsequently, on 27 April 2023 HM Treasury published new guidance for setting discount rates for calculating transfer values. It is now necessary for the Government Actuary’s Department (GAD) to calculate new actuarial factors to be used in the calculation of transfer values. GAD expects to provide these factors to administrators of public service pension schemes, by early summer. As this appears alongside a worker’s usual Income Tax and employee NICs deductions, it can incorrectly give the impression that the agency’s costs have been deducted from the worker’s wages as well as their own tax and employee NICs.</p><p> </p><p>In April 2020, the government introduced Key Information Documents for agency workers to set out details about their engagements, including rates of pay. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 28/02/2022 answer text <p>Regulatory technical standards, known as Strong Customer Authentication (SCA), have been introduced across retail banking and payment services. These rules aim to ensure that the person requesting access to their account, or trying to make a payment, is either the account holder or someone to whom they have given consent. The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) is responsible for supervising and enforcing the SCA technical standards. The FCA has a duty to regularly review these technical standards, and also has the power to amend them, subject to Treasury approval.</p><p> </p><p>FCA guidance expects firms to develop SCA solutions that work for all types of customer, encouraging firms to consider their impact on different groups as part of the design process, particularly those with protected characteristics. The FCA guidance also recognises that not all customers will have mobile phones or reliable mobile signal, and that payment service providers must therefore provide a viable means to authenticate customers in these situations.
