answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 26/04/2018 answer text <p>The Government has set out several public commitments, including in the Budget and in the Confidence and Supply Agreement, to work towards a ‘comprehensive and ambitious’ set of City Deals across Northern Ireland.</p><p>A timetable has not been set to deliver a City Deal, however officials from across Whitehall and the Northern Ireland Civil Service have been engaging with Derry City and Strabane Council and partners on their proposals. All decisions on prosecutions are taken independently of Government and in accordance with the Code for Prosecutors. While the Northern Ireland Office does not have a full record of prosecutions, I am aware that since November 2015 prosecutions have been brought against three former members of the armed forces for Troubles-related offences. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 24/01/2017 answer text <p>In the 2014 Stormont House Agreement, the Government reaffirmed “the need for respect for and recognition of the Irish language in Northern Ireland, consistent with the Council of Europe Charter on Regional or Minority Languages”.</p><p> </p><p>Under the devolution settlement the UK Government retains responsibility for broadcasting, whilst the majority of responsibility for language issues rests with the Northern Ireland Executive, including policy relating to the promotion of minority languages, including Irish. Education is also a devolved matter in Northern Ireland.</p><p> </p><p>In relation to broadcasting, the BBC Charter Review considered the BBC’s contribution to minority language broadcasting.
