<p>The information can be found in the tables below. The 2020-21 and 2021-22 decrease
is likely reflective of the fact that there were fewer cases throughout the magistrates’
court as a whole due to COVID-19. As such there are fewer cases capable of being appealed
and therefore fewer cases eligible to receive legal aid funding. Expenditure has started
to increase in the most recent full year for which we have data.</p><p> </p><p>a)
