answer text <p> </p><p> </p><p>No published information is available. The information in the table attached is taken from a live case management system. As such, it is subject to change and is not checked to the level of official statistics. No information is available in respect of children taken into care where the imprisonment of a parent is a contributory factor.</p><p> </p><p>HM Prison Service will be completing the Basic Custody Screening Tool (BCST) for every prisoner who enters custody within 72 hours of reception once the planned Community Rehabilitation Companies have been established. The BCST has specific questions relating to family circumstances, including whether the prisoner has children, whether the prisoner is the main carer for their children and if social services are involved with the family. This will allow for consistent collection of information on the family circumstances of prisoners.</p> more like this
