answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 12/06/2019 answer text <p>HMPPS recognises the importance of staff wellbeing and offers a range of support that includes access to specialist Mental Health Advisers provided by our Occupational Health supplier.</p><p>HMPPS offers further staff support through its Employee Assistance Programme which includes a 24hr/365 days per year confidential helpline and access to mental health support by way of confidential counselling together with a Structured Professional Support service which has been developed to provide individual or group sessions facilitated by Mental Health Advisers or Therapists. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 18/04/2019 answer text <p>In June 2018, the Government published its Female Offender Strategy which set out the vision to see fewer women coming into the criminal justice system, a greater proportion managed successfully in the community, and better conditions for those in custody.</p><p> </p><p>Since publishing the strategy, the Government has invested £5m to support community provision for female offenders and women at risk of offending. In December 2018, we published updated operational instruction and guidance with the ‘Women’s Policy Framework’ and we plan to publish a national concordat on female offenders this summer.</p><p> </p><p>In the strategy we committed to developing a ‘residential women’s centre’ pilot in at least 5 sites across England and Wales. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 25/03/2019 answer text <p>In 2017 the National Audit Office (NAO) published a report which challenged the Government to publish a co-ordinated strategy to reduce clinical negligence costs.</p><p> </p><p>The Ministry of Justice is working jointly with the Department of Health and Social Care, the Treasury, Cabinet Office, NHS Resolution and others, to respond to the challenge from NAO in the report <em>Managing the Costs of Clinical Negligence in Trusts</em> to publish a co-ordinated strategy to reduce clinical negligence costs. We are looking at all the drivers of costs, as challenged by NAO, and a wide range of options are being considered. We will update the House when we are in a position to do so.</p><p> </p><p>The Civil Justice Council (CJC) is expected to report shortly on proposals to extend fixed recoverable costs (FRC) in clinical negligence cases up to £25k damages.
