answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 08/02/2018 answer text <p>The Government is dedicated to building strong, integrated communities.</p><p>We are committed to ensuring that for all those granted refugee status the transition from government supported accommodation into mainstream services is as smooth as possible. In 2018/19 my department will be funding around 20 local authorities with the highest numbers of asylum seekers to support new refugees into housing, employment and English language learning.</p><p>Since its launch in November 2016 my department has awarded £9 million from the Controlling Migration Fund to 32 English local authorities for projects developing the capacity of local authorities to support unaccompanied asylum seeking children within their communities. Building more homes using modern methods of construction, including offsite and smart techniques, is a key part of this.</p><p>New technology has improved productivity, quality and choice in a range of sectors and we want to see the same happen in housing.</p><p>That is why the Housing White Paper talks about specific measures to stimulate the growth of modern methods of construction, including how we will help to create a pipeline of opportunities to give confidence to the sector and investors.</p><p>For instance, the Home Building Fund provides support to builders using modern methods of construction, in addition to custom builders and new entrants to the market. The Autumn Budget added a further £1.5 billion to the fund, specifically targeted at supporting small and medium-sized builders who cannot access the finance they need to build.</p><p>We are also delivering on our commitment to create a working group to look at the assurance, insurance and mortgages for modern methods of construction. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 16/01/2018 answer text <p>We expect local authorities to work closely with the voluntary sector to provide basic emergency accommodation to minimise the risk of harm to individuals when the temperature drops, in line with Severe Weather Emergency Protocol guidance. Our new Homelessness Advice and Support Team, drawn from local authorities and the homelessness sector, are providing targeted challenge and support to help local authorities to improve their response to homelessness, which includes their cold weather provision for rough sleepers.</p><p>However, no one should ever have to sleep rough. That is why the Government has committed to halving rough sleeping by 2022 and eliminating it altogether by 2027. We have announced a new Rough Sleeping and Homelessness Reduction Taskforce, chaired by the Housing Secretary, which will drive forward the implementation of a cross-Government strategy to tackle this issue.</p><p>We have allocated over £1 billion through to 2020, following the 2015 Spending Review, to prevent and reduce all forms of homelessness.
