answer text <p>There is currently no standard way of assessing housing need among local planning authorities, which causes delays and increases costs for councils. In the draft revisions to the National Planning Policy Framework, we have proposed a standard method that will result in an easier, cheaper and more transparent process. We intend to publish the revised Framework this summer.</p> more like this
